Salman Khan may soon be seen playing a superhero in an upcoming project by filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., popularly known as Raj & DK. The news has sparked strong buzz in Bollywood, as the film is expected to blend action with comedy while presenting Salman in a completely new avatar.
Raj & DK, known for hit web series like The Family Man, Farzi and Guns & Gulaabs, are reportedly planning a superhero-based movie. Salman Khan is being considered for the lead role in what is expected to be a superhero comedy film.
Reports suggest the story is partly inspired by the Hollywood movie Hancock starring Will Smith. In the proposed storyline, Salman would play a tired superhero who has saved the world many times and now wants to retire and live a normal life. However, various crises keep pulling him back into action, eventually leading to a major conflict. The film will combine humor, action, and a fresh take on the superhero genre.
Sources say Salman has been discussing the project with Raj & DK for several months and likes the concept. However, he has reportedly asked the makers to keep the budget controlled and avoid unnecessary dependence on heavy visual effects (VFX).
According to the plan, the full script will be presented to Salman in April 2026. If everything goes smoothly, shooting for the film may begin in November this year. The project is expected to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Reel Life Entertainment. This would mark the first collaboration between Salman and the Raj & DK duo.
Before that, Salman will appear in his upcoming film Battle of Galwan. Recently, some pictures from the film’s set went viral on social media, showing the actor smiling with fans and crew members.
The actor has been going through a difficult personal time as his father, veteran writer Salim Khan, was recently admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai due to illness. However, reports suggest his condition is now stable. Despite the situation, Salman has returned to the shooting set, showing dedication to his work.
The viral photos show Salman posing with fans and crew members, sporting a clean-shaven look. Some people around him were seen covered in colors from the Holi festival, while the actor appeared cheerful in front of the camera.
“Battle of Galwan” is based on the conflict between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. In the film, Salman will star opposite Chitrangada Singh, and it will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. If everything goes as planned, the movie is expected to release in theaters on April 17.
