Where does this suffering end. The road from Azmiriganj to Baniachong in Habiganj, filled with countless potholes, has become a death trap. 

Accidents are occurring, and vehicles are breaking down. Risk and hardship are constant companions for the thousands of people who travel this road daily. 

The condition of the 21-kilometer road from Lal Mia Bazar in Azmiriganj Municipality to the Kundorpur area of Baniachong Upazila has been dire for a long time. 

Every day, thousands of people from Azmiriganj Upazila and several neighboring Upazilas travel this road, facing extreme inconvenience and life-threatening risks. 

Particularly, the stretch of road from Lal Mia Bazar to the bridge over Sujoni Khal, which is about three kilometers long, has turned into a death trap. 

According to local sources, hundreds of vehicles, including passenger buses, CNGs, auto-rickshaws, various types of trucks, pickups, motorcycles, and ambulances, travel daily on the Sharif Uddin road from Azmiriganj to Baniachong. 

Large potholes and craters have formed at various points along this busy road, leading to accidents and vehicle breakdowns. 

Although repairs have been made to some of the potholes several times, the number of potholes has increased over the past few months, turning the road into a source of suffering for many. 

The district's Roads and Highways Department states that the road could not be repaired due to the lack of a tender. 

However, some urgent repairs have been carried out. Upon visiting the road, it was observed that the area from Lal Mia Bazar in the municipality through the Upazila Parishad to the bridge adjacent to Azmiriganj Government Pilot High School has become severely damaged with potholes. 

Additionally, the road's condition is poor from the Birat-Shivpash point in the Sadar Union to the Birat Ujanpara and the Patulipara area of Jalsukha, extending to the Kundorpur area of Baniachong Upazila. 

In conversations with locals, they expressed that they have to travel to various places daily via this road. 

However, with the road in such a deplorable state, they are constantly facing difficulties.
