Khandaker Abdul Mukhtadir, BNP candidate for the prestigious Sylhet-1 constituency and advisor to the party chairperson, is being warmly embraced by the love and support of the general public. Wherever he goes during his election campaign, spontaneous crowds are forming around him. From neighborhoods and marketplaces to villages and narrow city streets, the enthusiasm and curiosity of ordinary people surrounding him are clearly visible everywhere.

The same scene was witnessed again on Sunday morning (1 February). What began as door-to-door outreach soon turned into a procession, marked by excitement and strong public participation from people of all walks of life.

BNP leaders and activists said that people from every profession and social background are greeting Khandaker Abdul Mukhtadir with warm, floral welcomes along his campaign trail. In neighborhoods, women of different ages are welcoming him into their areas by showering flowers from their homes. Men of various age groups are greeting him with handshakes and heartfelt conversations, while some are directly sharing the problems faced by their local communities. Voters are voicing a wide range of expectations—from employment opportunities and rising commodity prices to city management, education, and healthcare. Khandaker Abdul Mukhtadir is listening patiently to these concerns, and his conversations with voters reflect sincerity and attentiveness.

Meanwhile, campaign activities in support of BNP chairperson’s advisor Khandaker Abdul Mukhtadir continue uninterrupted. At around 11:00 a.m., a campaign procession led by him began from Kuarpaar Point in the city. The procession passed through Kuarpaar, Laladighir Par, Osmani Medical Road, Bhatalia, Munshipara, Mirer Moydan, and Rajargoli, before concluding at the main gate in front of the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (R.A.).

The mass outreach saw a strong presence of BNP leaders and activists, as well as members of its affiliated and associate organizations, alongside large numbers of ordinary citizens. As the procession moved through different areas, people spontaneously chanted slogans in support of Mukhtadir. Women from nearby homes welcomed him by offering flowers.

Among those present in the campaign procession were Metropolitan BNP Acting President Rezawul Hasan Qayes Lodi, General Secretary Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, Joint Secretary Najibur Rahman Najib, District BNP Joint Secretary Anwar Hossain Manik, Metropolitan BNP Organizing Secretary Dewan Zakir, Kotwali Thana BNP Convener Oliur Rahman Chowdhury Suhel, Metropolitan Jubo Dal General Secretary Mirza Samrat Hossain, District Swechchhasebak Dal Member Secretary Shakil Morshed, Metropolitan Chhatra Dal President Sudip Jyoti Esh, Ward No. 12 BNP President Jahangir, Ward No. 11 BNP President Sheikh Kabir Ahmed, Abu Sayeed Tayef, Abdus Salam Tipu, Minhajur Rahman Russel, Belayet Hossain Mohan, along with many other leaders and activists from BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and other affiliated organizations.
